Superbowl Sunday

Rumor has it that there's some kind of big game today?

I know. I know. Only the biggest game of the year right?

Right. But not here. I've heard zip. nada. zero. about the game now that I'm across the pond. But somebody must love me a lot because we have subscribed to American channels for occasions such as this. So although it will be well into the wee hours of the night I plan to catch some Super Bowl action. Unlike the normal Superbowl Sunday we don't have loads of friends around and the wings, salsa, chips and burgers have been substituted for coffee and gummy bears. {I'll take it ;)}

I must admit that I'm way more of a college football gal and therefore don't have a favorite.  So tonight I think I shall be a Ravens fan because Google has informed that they are the underdogs and who doesn't love a good comeback team? 

In lieu of this football crazed day, or in my case the lack there of, I bring you my top ten reasons why I love this game...

10. The food. Duh. Who can watch OR attend a good game and not dive into the best junk food?

9.  National Anthem. Enough said.

8. Halftime because when they get it right in can be good.

7. Maybe its the high school cheerleader coming out in me, but I love the chants.

6. The commercials. Superbowl commercials are obviously the best but there are even some during college football season that are great. 

5. Camaraderie. Nothing like seeing two teams passionately battling it out for a win and then seeing the gratitude for the team who comes out on top.

4. The tailgating. The SEC has this nailed. From the flatbed trailers embedded with grills and lined for a party of 20 to the RVs that have team spirit tattooed all over them, tailgating brings the game to life.

3. The outfits. Because we all know that it's about the color coordinating outfit to display team spirit in the best way possible.

2. The platform. Some of these men are born with talent & some have used it for good. Take my fav -Tebow for example, he touched many through his testimony.
 So much so that my mom & dad's black lab is named after him. Seriously ha.

1. Creating memories with my Dad, this is our favorite pastime.
