There's no place like home.

Sometimes in this land far, far away I feel like Dorothy lost in Oz. I'd be lying to say that there hasn't been a time or two that I was tempted to click my red shiny shoes together and whisper "there's no place like home" on repeat. Although this new place feels more and more like home everyday there are just some moments that I'd wish nothing more than to be back in my hometown for and this week is one of those times. Lucky for us we don't have to depend on the shoes to tote us back but rather a jumbo jet, how's that for a step up? 

My hometown is the king of all Strawberry towns. The city will be covered in red and the community will unite for this 11 day event we call the Strawberry Festival. It's as country as it sounds and oh-so unique and we wouldn't have it any other way. This time of year also serves as a homecoming to a few, like myself, who have trickled away from this small town. I'm so, so thankful that S and I get to make the trip back home for this yearly tradition and would be so gutted to ever miss it. These pictures take me back to my happy place every time and I'm so excited to make even more memories there this year!

So bring on the sunshine, my most favorite smiles and the best Strawberries in all of the land.
